Registration is open for GranFondo Cannondale Philadelphia
Where will you be this summer? We hope your plans include meeting us in front of the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art for the start of the third annual GranFondo Cannondale Philadelphia! Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 12 and register today! Previous runner-up to Bicycling Magazine’s best bike cities, the downtown historic charm surrenders a stunning start to the Italian cycling phenomenon.
The ride will again include a King and Queen of the Mountain timed climb approximately 50 kilometers into the ride on a course that includes a maximum of 7,000 feet of climbing. The climb is just shy of two kilometers with grades that vary between 9 and to 11 percent totaling 367 vertical feet.
Three courses will be offered in 2012: GranFondo (108 miles), MedioFondo (72 miles) and PiccoloFondo (31 miles).

GranFondo USA unveils custom 2012 jersey design
A favorite in all GranFondo USA SWAG bags is the custom limited edition cycling jersey. All 2012 GranFondo USA riders will receive the official jersey featuring the new series logo and presenting sponsor, Cannondale. Jerseys are available in men’s and women’s sizes. See the sizing chart here.
GranFondo Cannondale San Diego riders will be among the first to receive the jersey starting April 14 during packet pick-up.

Cannondale and GranFondo World Find Cadence In New Global Partnership
GranFondo World and Cannondale Announce New Partnership. Twelve Event Cycling Experience Begins in April with GranFondo Cannondale San Diego. Cannondale has announced its global title sponsorship of the 2012 GranFondo World series, produced by Star Events. The company will remain the official naming partner and cycling company for all GranFondo World events until 2014.
An Italian-inspired experience is comprised of twelve long distance, mass participation cycling events. This year’s GranFondo World series will include six all new United States based events in San Diego, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Vail, Reno and Miami. The first event of the year will be the GranFondo Cannondale San Diego on April 15th. “We’re excited to partner with Star Events as the Global Title Sponsor of the 2012 GranFondo series,”
said Bob Burbank, Global General Manager, Cannondale. “These events are well-matched to the goals of Cannondale – to provide cyclists the ultimate inspirational riding experience.”

GranFondo Vail Cannondale kick off!
GranFondo USA, producers of the famous mass cycling events, names Vail, Colorado to its 2012 portfolio of popular U.S. destinations.
Star Events USA announces the newest destination to its line-up of 2012 GranFondo events: Vail, Colorado. The inaugural GranFondo Cannondale Vail is set for Sunday, August 19 and is planned in partnership with the town of Vail. The local organizing team will be led by Event Director Chris Laskey.
